Afternoon from a very cool Monteseel
The UK is doing very well for medals, sadly for SA the same cannot be said :innocent:
The past week has been some what manic work wise, and to be honest, more stressful at times than I could cope with so by Thursday I think my energy was at an all time low so I stayed home on Friday and dealt with all the 'fires' from my remote vantage point on top of my mountain.
I noticed this morning my eyebrows have nearly all gone and it is quite weird to see yourself without them. I don't wear make up that often so I had not really noticed they were going AWOL. Jen, did you lose yours? :daisy:
I read in the news that within 25 years, large areas of Cape Town could be under water due to global warming. They say Cape Town will be first affected and Durban will also be badly affected. All those posh houses built into the cliffs could have the sea lapping at their front doors........unbelievable!
On my way to Polly Shortts and the energy is flagging.......must be how the runners feel too. I am trying to focus on the post chemo stage and think about how I can get my body to heal itself following the constant poisoning. Some damage has to occur given the fact that you have session after session but I am sure the body also has the ability to build itself up again. I think the challenge will be to know how much to do, how soon.
Jen, how did you manage getting your strength back again? Did it take a long time? :chorus:
Enjoy the rest of Sunday!
