Today was my last day in work for 2008. Tomorrow is a public holiday so I can now concentrate on my packing.
I am not looking forward to the long journey but it will be very special to see all my family once again.
It was Ben's wedding anniversary yesterday so both families shared a braai with him in sweltering heat (35C).
Whilst he was in Johannesburg recently, we bought him a tree and lights to make the home a bit festive and he was very appreciative....life has to go on. He has made a beautiful collage of all his favourite photograhs from his life with Taryn and placed it in the lounge where we can all see them together...it is very special.
Durban is hectic as usual at this time of the year and so many GP registrations driving around. The booze busses are out along with the road blocks.......
I hope all your preparations are well underway for the festive season and if you are on the roads travelling....please take care!
I hope that 2009 is a great year for you and your family Sue, you certainly deserve it. Only time can heal and unfortunately it will take a while before your son can start looking to the future. My love to you all and the offer still stands that if you are down along the south coast (Portsmouth/Southampton area) then please feel free to drop in, there is a spare room if you would like to stay.
