Not pretty, but a major improvement on the show in Ireland.
Looks like the Ex Eastern Province man Mr Catt , did have a good influence on the team after all.
The forwards put in an excellent performance.
It must be added that the French team did not really turn up on the day, but in saying that, the awesome English forward effort just starved them of posession!!
Well Done Englandok:

Ireland won the Triple Crown.
The comp only gets decided after next week's matches on Saturday.
England stand an outside chance of making it to the top - my money is on Ireland still though
England played ok. Was impressed with the blooding of the youngsters and the speed of some of their flyers..
France didn't come to the party with their renowned flair.
With the WC several months away.. England still have a lot to do in order to compete effectively. France, with their home advantage, will do well anyways..

I agree, would put money on Ireland to do it, a lot of passion in their rugby this year!
Was really impressed by Gerraghty(spl) and Strettle!!
I agree France just did not seem to get firing
I dont write England off, but will be pleasntly surprised if they get anywhere in the WC this year, I think that they have started too late!

I thought it was quite pretty actually... England dominated the forwards, had most of the posession, and ran through a couple of great tries using the backline. What more do you want?

A bit before my time..
It was hilarious when the presenter announced the English team were an
hour late after their police escort took a wrong turn and the
3 minute journey.. took them on a slight tour!
:haha:
Ade.. to answer your question:
Stability, a settled English team.. and consistency in being able to deliver it when the crunch comes. Not much, I agree
