Please help!
Lately my computer screen just goes black and then that awful blue screen saying something about a fatal error, etc comes up.
Type control, alt and del to restart, etc.
I do run Norton antivirus and update it weekly, do weekly virus scans, etc...

What operating system are you using and, did you install anything just before the problems started?

Windows 98 ( yes it is an ancient computer!) and no...I did not install anything recently Richard.

Joan, I am having exactly the same problems as you. I also have an old pc & also have windows 98.
It is so frustrating having to re-connect/re-boot.
I also keep my anti virus up to date but still have problems too.
I think we really need to upgrade!!!

I'm not joking. I had lots of odd things happen with my pc over a few months then suddenly it was dead!
I suggest you [B]back up all your important documents and things immediately and keep on doing so until you get the problem properly sorted.
This doesn't necessarily have anything to do with the operating system. There is no reason why the software should suddenly start playing up - unless it has some sort of worm or something. And Norton should be looking after that. [/B]
