Tea contains more caffeine per pound of leaf than coffee does per pound of beans, but a cup of brewed black tea has about half the caffine of a cup of brewed coffee. Other types of tea, such as oolong and green tea, have even lass caffine. Green tea usually contains less caffine than cola drinks or chocolate contain.
