Other notable contenders included J.R.R. Tolkien of Lord of the Rings fame ($22 million) and Beatles legend John Lennon ($19 million), with Beatle George Harrison following closely behind ($16 million). Also in the top ten were children's book author Dr Seuss and race-car driver Dale Earnhardt.
Despite its namesake, the first Planet Hollywood was opened in New York.
