i think it must have been plain old oil !
i used to have a massive pan - then cover the kernels almost with sunflower oil and put a lid on and wait for the pops !
is this right - i have a taste for popcorm now !
speaking of which - WHO REM'BERS JUMPIN JACKS POPCORN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!????? i would eat the whole big packet - what a piggie ! LOL

Yep jewels....
small amount of oil over the bottom of the pan....then in with the corns, lid on and wait.....and keep shaking the pan.
