  Cheap air flights in SA
Posted by: TheDuck - 31-10-2006, 12:47 PM - Forum: Travel and Immigration - No Replies

some people are saying this is SAA's attempt to break Kalula

that the lowered prices are aimed at putting Kalula out of business, because Mango can be run at a loss until Kalula folds due to SAA picking up the losses

is this true?

  Cheap flights in SA
Posted by: popeye - 31-10-2006, 10:44 AM - Forum: Banter and ALL - No Replies

Hi all.

Hope you are all having a wonderful day.

Heard that a new airline operator will be operating flights between JHB, CPT and Bloem.

The prices also look quite neat at around R169-00 one way between JHB and CPT. Looks like some of the other airlines will have some tough competition, especially with SAA backing the new airline, Mango.

Their website is http://www.flymango.com

  Dubai 7's
Posted by: Gerhard - 31-10-2006, 09:26 AM - Forum: Rugby Newsfeed - No Replies

Any body following the 7's.

We are new to Dubai and I see the Dubai 7's are to be held here on the 1st and 2nd of December. Guys are saying that it is a great party and should soon be bigger than the Hong Kong 7's

SA is currently 3rd on the international standings and hopefully we should be able to do better this year. (maybe they should put a few more Blue Bulls in the team and then we would be able to win  )

Zim se bittereinder-boere pak op en waai
Posted by: Pronkertjie - 31-10-2006, 08:08 AM - Forum: Praat Afrikaans - No Replies

Harare.

  Spouse Visa Confusion
Posted by: popeye - 30-10-2006, 10:04 PM - Forum: Immigration - No Replies

Good day all.

I would like to know if I am a British Citizen and apply for British passports for my children, and then decide to move to Ireland to settle there with my wife and children, would my wife require a visa or residency card or any other documentation if she is a South African citizen?

Also does anyone on this forum live in Ireland? I would like to get some more information on Ireland.

And would I need to apply to the Garda for a card or something if I want to work there, considering I have British citizenship, but have not been in the UK (or EU countries) since I was 3 years old?

Thanks.

  We love Mugabe - ANCYL
Posted by: TheDuck - 30-10-2006, 03:40 PM - Forum: Jokes Zone - No Replies

Amid economic hardships and human sufferings in Zimbabwe, ANC Youth League president Fikile Mbalula says he loves President Robert Mugabe for a job well done.

He said this to hundreds of the league supporters at a rally in Klerksdorp, North West when introducing the youth leader of Zanu-PF, Richard Bvukumbwe.

"You must go back and tell Mugabe that we love what he is doing for the people of Zimbabwe. He is doing a good work. You must tell him that we love him. We love him for redistributing the wealth and land to the people," Mbalula said at the celebration rally of the league's 62nd anniversary.

Bvukumbwe also thanked the audience for support they were giving to the people of Zimbabwe.

He was one of the youth leaders from the SADC region who were hosted by the league for a political seminar at the ANC's headquarters.

Bvukumbwe received tumultuous applause.

Mbalula reiterated the league's support for ANC deputy president Jacob Zuma and slammed what he termed media-made leaders.

"We don't want people who come to the ANC to fatten their stomachs... We don't want people who come to the ANC to nurture their careers.

"We must ensure that we are not an organisation of people and leaders who are elected by newspapers," Mbalula said.

He dismissed cynics who said Zuma was on a campaign trail ahead of the ANC's congress next year, saying that was a "figment of their hallucination".

But Zuma sounded like someone on a campaigning mission on Sunday, telling supporters that the ANC Youth League must determine the succession in the ANC because they had in the past influenced the process to ensure that President Thabo Mbeki becomes president of the ruling party and the country.

He also questioned those who admonished the league for publicly endorsing him as Mbeki's successor. from IOL

yes, it actually isn't a joke but it beats crying
