Good morning, everyone! Smile

It looks like it's going to be a lovely Confusedunny: day here in Denmark. I don't have school on a Thursday or Friday so it's basically weekend for me already after I've got through all my homework. :cheer:

Poor Jangar is very ill. Confusedickly: He has a bite under his left ear, which has swollen up badly. He also has a raging fever. He's been to the doctor & has been given some penicillin. We have a plague of mosquitoes around at the moment & according to our doctor, they're carrying bacteria, which is making a lot of people very ill. Sad

I hope you all have a fantastic day. :jive:

  Use your facial muscles correctly!

I heard about a boy once who had found a dried leaf in his mother's Bible and asked her: “Mum, is this the fig leaf that Adam used in the Garden when he wanted to hide his nakedness?” Cute, not so! We should really have more humour in our lives, don't you think? We should make time for laughing and being jolly. Do we not serve a God of joy? In his kingdom joy is triumphant. With Him there is no place for sulking and putting up a long face (Romans 14:17).

Perhaps we shouldn't take ourselves and others so seriously. Perhaps we should be more light-hearted about life (not that we should be frivolous!). A believer once made the remark that “God must have a very good sense of humour since He made human beings like us!" Whenever you are about to fly off the handle, ask yourself if it is really worth getting so upset about. Try laughing out loud at yourself and others (or rather with others!) for a change. God gave you many facial muscles, most of which get absolutely no exercise if you don't laugh often. So, what are you waiting for?

Remember:I can afford to laugh because God really loves me!

Why no Muslim anger over Darfur violence?

September 19, 2006

THE HEADLINES say "Muslim fury at caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad"; "Muslim fury at Pope's 'insult' ". When are we going to see "Muslim fury at killing of Muslims in Darfur"?

Or should this expression of fury be exercised only by the "infidel" George Clooney, who is appealing to the UN to save Muslim lives in Darfur?

There is a disturbing trend among Muslims in which they do not criticise the violence perpetrated by their co-religionists.

Do Muslims believe they should stand with one an-other irrespective of whe-ther their actions are right or wrong?

Like all other religions, Islam espouses the notions of good and evil, right and wrong, but it seems these notions have been suspended in favour of solidarity.

Muslims decry utterances that are insulting to the Prophet and Islam, yet Muslims whose violent actions bring the religion into disrepute are not criticised.
