I got a promotion before I went away on hols and was happy with the whole thing but asked to have it put down in writing. I'm still waiting.....

Also my 'lovely' colleague has been treating me like the stuff on the bottom of a shoe for the past week as she has been told. Only speaks in Welsh to me (huh!) and snapes and chucks things instead of passing them. I know its sour grapes and the like, but GET A LIFE. Have spoken to the Directors but have been told that is the way she is. So basically must get used to the xenophobic remarks and everything. I don't think so. have been trying to see HR manager but she's too busy at the mo.

Have had enough of the attitude and have started to look for a new job. The company obviously doesn't value me or the work I do, so perhaps my colleague can have the job, she how she does? I can do better and be appreciated somewhere else.

Sorry had to get it off my chest.

That TV show in the 80s called Ballade vir 'n' Enkeling. This show is one of the things I most strongly remember about South Africa and generally I end up reminiscing for hours after it pops into my head.

There was something about it that grabbed me, it just seemed so tragic. I didn't even really understand it because my Afrikaans was and still is poor.

What I'd really like is a summary of what the series was about. I was trying to track it down on the web earlier but in one of those rare instances, google failed me.

Vandat ek so nege weke gehoor het ek is swanger het 'n hele nuwe wereld vir my oopgegaan? Was hierdie hele subkultuur regtig net hier onder my neus gewees die hele tyd?

Ek is verstom en elke keer as ek weer naby 'n vrou kom met kinders of weer in 'n winkel kom wat enige iets verkoop wat net enige iets te doen het met babas of selfs swangerskap hang my mond van voor af oop!

Wat het geword van die prentjie wat almal altyd vir jou skilder oor swangerskap wat net die wonderlikste tyd in jou lewe is? Ek is seker daar is erens 'n conspiracy aan die gang. Ek het nooit geweet dat oggendnaarheid die hele dag aanhou nie of dat swangerskap ook 'n toe neus en suisende ore veroorsaak nie!! En baie onvroulike dinge wat ek nie eintlik op 'n familiewebsite wil bespreek nie!

Dan wil ek nie eers begin praat oor die klere nie! Wie op aarde het besluit dat 'n toekomstige ma so frumpy en onelegant moet lyk. Die langbroeke kan in 'n horror movie gebruik word! Gewone broek en dan in plaas van 'n normale band het hulle 'n stuk rib trim vasgeheg aan die bokant - siesa ga!!!

Dan is daar natuurlik die voordeel dat ek ewe skielik soos Pamela Anderson lyk!! en die ongelooflike belewenis dat ek actually besig is om 'n mens in my maag te bou!!! En dat dit ewe skielik OK is om 'n boep te he, mense bewonder dit actually.

Former Brazil coach Carlos Alberto Parreira has signed a four-year deal to take charge of 2010 World Cup hosts South Africa, officials said on Saturday.

The deal was concluded in Rio de Janeiro on Friday after talks between Parreira and a delegation from the South African Football Association (Safa).
