  South Africa Bloody South Africa
Posted by: TheDuck - 30-06-2006, 07:40 AM - Forum: Your Religion - Replies (7)

Yes...

I cant believe the news today
Oh, I cant close my eyes and make it go away
How long...
How long must we sing this song?
How long? how long...

cause tonight...we can be as one
Tonight...

Broken bottles under childrens feet
Bodies strewn across the dead end street
But I wont heed the battle call
It puts my back up
Puts my back up against the wall

South Africa, bloody South Africa
South Africa, bloody South Africa

And the battles just begun
Theres many lost, but tell me who has won
The trench is dug within our hearts
And mothers, children, brothers, sisters killed for nought

South Africa, bloody South Africa
South Africa, bloody South Africa

How long...
How long must we sing this song?
How long? how long...

cause tonight...we can be as one
Tonight...
Tonight...

South Africa, bloody South Africa (tonight)
Tonight
South Africa, bloody South Africa(tonight)
(come get some!)

Wipe the tears from your eyes
Wipe your tears away
Wipe your tears away
I wipe your tears away
(South Africa, bloody South Africa)
I wipe your blood shot eyes
(South Africa, bloody South Africa)

South Africa, bloody South Africa
South Africa, bloody South Africa
(here I come!)

And its true we are immune
When fact is fiction and tv reality
And today the millions cry
We eat and drink while tomorrow they die

The real battle yet begun (South Africa, bloody South Africa)
To claim the victory jesus won (South Africa, bloody South Africa)
On...

South Africa, bloody South Africa
South Africa, bloody South Africa

original song Sunday Bloody Sunday by U2

Plse spare a thought for friends of mine...

Our saffer friends are friends with a British couple they met here, and i met C a few times and happened to see her at Tesco's two weeks ago, she was expecting twins and looked absolutely ginormous......

Anyway she was due to have her babies on Tuesday this week, but started vomiting on Sunday, so she had an emergency C Section. She had two baby girls, as she already has two boys, so she was estatic to have her girlies...

She collapsed yesterday afternoon after she had a shower, and died with a pulmonary embolism. :bigcry: :bigcry:

I feel so much for her husband and those poor babies growing up now without a beautiful Mom....

Why is life so darn cruel? Sad Sad

Urgent advice needed re: temporary passport debacle
Posted by: surfer77 - 29-06-2006, 09:54 AM - Forum: Travel and Immigration - Replies (1)

Does anyone know if this new rule applies to temporary passport holders even if they still carry the original passport containing an 'indefinite leave to remain' visa?

My highly unfortunate dilemma is that I bought Sa flights in Feb for travel in July and obtained a temporary passport in April before the new law set in. Unless I can track down my new SA passport I have been told that I need to forfeit these flights (they were non-changeable/non-refundable!)

A very good morning to you all.

Once again it's a beautiful day down south. I am counting down the days till my holiday in Cornwall. :jive:  Two weeks to go!

Found another shorter, quieter route to work thanks to one of the guys in the office. So nice when "locals" are willing to show you the area.

Have a great day.
