  Hi this Sunday morning
Posted by: Oom Rob - 14-05-2006, 12:54 AM - Forum: Banter and ALL - Replies (3)

Good morning all - made the fatel error of falling asleep at nine last nine and here I am just over four hours later wide awake again!!

Spoke to my GP about this factor of only sleeping for four hours each night and he said that as one gets older one will find that one sleeps less at night and he went on to say (remembering he is also a personal friend) that now I have reached 60 I have to admit to myself that I am getting old! :crylol:

Please tell me what to do....

Earlier this week I went shopping at my favourite gift/card shop with a Canadian lady who was visiting here.

Putting something back on the shelf she knocked a very expensive wine glass of the shelf. She picked it up, took it to the sales lady and said she broke it by accident then turned round and walk away.

Should I go back and offer to pay for the glass? As I said, it is my favourite shop and I would like to go back there Smile

Think about these one at a time BEFORE going on to the next one...
IT DOES MAKE YOU FEEL GOOD, especially the thought at the end.

NATURAL HIGHS

1. Being in love.

2. Laughing so hard your face hurts.

3. A hot shower.

4. No queues at the supermarket.

5. Taking a drive on a pretty road.

6. Hearing your favourite song on the radio.

7. Lying in bed listening to the rain outside.

8. Hot towels fresh out of the dryer.

9. Chocolate milkshake ... (or vanilla ... or strawberry!)

10. A bubble bath.

11. Giggling.

12. A good conversation.

13. Finding a £20 note in your coat from last winter.

14. Running through sprinklers.

15. Laughing for absolutely no reason at all.

16. Having someone tell you that you're beautiful.

17. Accidentally overhearing someone say something nice about you.

18. Waking up and realising you still have a few hours left to sleep.

19. Making new friends or spending time with old ones.

20. Having someone play with your hair.

21. Sweet dreams.

22. Making eye contact with a cute stranger.

23. Holding hands with someone you care about.

24. Running into an old friend and realising that some things (good or bad) never change.

25. Watching the expression on someone's face as they open a much-desired present from you.

26. Getting out of bed every morning and being grateful for another beautiful day.

27. Knowing that somebody misses you.

28. Getting a hug from someone you care about deeply.

29. Knowing you've done the right thing, no matter what other people think.

How much for this baby ?
Posted by: Jangar - 12-05-2006, 11:21 PM - Forum: Your Computers, Gadgets and Software - Replies (3)

I bought (or should I say we ?) bought this baby last Sunday, along with a jelly / pudding form and a pair of Anton Berg sugar lump tweezers for DKR 25 (just over £2)

Now, I suspect that the tweezers were the best bargain (they were free) but am interested to find out what this piece of nostalgia goes for....

My quick researching tells me it's from 1976 and the later wooden finish one is a year later...

Sorry about the size of the pic but I didn't take it. I.e. I linked to it. Blush
