Our very own Cheffie has recipe published
Posted by: ForumAdmin - 03-04-2006, 01:41 PM - Forum: Banter and ALL - Replies (9)

GlobalBuzz SA is very proud to mention that Cheffie had his very own Malva Pudding recipe published by Jean-Christophe Novelli in the April issue of Family Circle Mag

see the note: 'This recipe is from a cheffriend, Grant hawthorne. It tastes amazing just the best-ever sticky toffee pudding - but easier!'

  Massive massive news....
Posted by: Ameniatha - 03-04-2006, 10:26 AM - Forum: Banter and ALL - Replies (14)

have just gotten off the phone with Jan, and he has now spoken with the people in SA. They phoned him this morning and talked for 45 mins.

Now before lunch they called and said they want him, before he even had a chance to think he said yes...
So peeps it looks as if we are going back to SA. I honestly don't know what to think....I think for all practical reasons we are going to go through a bit of a rough time the next couple of months.

The company has agreed to pay 25000 Rand as part of our removal costs, so thats nice of them...I don't know what to think, the house has to go on the market, we have to organize a deal with payment of debts etc...we have to find a school, and a cresh possibly....*little swear word* I can't think right now, I have chills going down my spine...

It turns out that the office is in Modderfontein, just outside Jo'burg...I am excited and scared, and terrified, and my poor little heart is pounding like I have just run the Comrades...

Jan will have to quite his job now today, latest tomorrow, he has to come to SA on the 1st May, for a whole month, afterwhich he will come back and help organize the move...right now I think I need to believe that things will turn out ok.. because *little swear word* this is big....!!!!

His helmet came off so he has serious head injuries.

Thanks God - NO brain injuries.

Critical but stable.

Please pray for him and the family.

Thanks.

  Positiewe gedagte!
Posted by: Joan - 02-04-2006, 03:35 PM - Forum: Praat Afrikaans - Replies (2)

My gesig is vol plooie en my hare is grys.

Hy is so kort hy weet nie of dit keelseer of aambeie is nie.

Hy is so skelm, hy bid onder n skuilnaam.

"Ek voel nou so goed, ek vul sommer die lottonommers verkeerd in."

"Ek is nou so lui ek trou sommer met 'n swanger vrou."

Ek hoop jy voel nou beter Smile.......lekker dag verder.
