  SA passport
Posted by: carolinesaunders - 30-01-2006, 10:49 AM - Forum: Travel and Immigration - No Replies

My husband is trying to apply for his South African passport. He was born in SA, but his mother is from England. She registered his birth in the UK IN 1988 SO he has a registration letter saying that he was registered in the uk in 1988 which is how he acquired his british citizenship and his british passport. Now, he has a sa passport too, but it has expired by a few months. When he went to go and apply for his british passport, they told him he would need his birth certificate, as well as the registration certificate. Well he has contacted his mom and she does not have this document. to apply for this document, will take 5 months minimum, and you cannot apply for a sa passport without it. and if you cannot apply for a sa passport without it, it means you cannot apply for a temporary passport either, until the passport has been applied for..as we are travelling to SA in April we are a bit confused as what to do.

Springbok player charged with drunk driving

January 28 2006 at 03:52PM

Golden Lions and Springbok rugby player Andre Pretorius was arrested and charged with driving under the influence after an accident early on Saturday.

Pretorius, 27, was in Main Road, Bryanston in Johannesburg, when his vehicle collided with another one just after 1am.

He was arrested and charged, as was the other driver.

Police spokesperson Captain Schalk Bornman said two men were taken to Randburg police station and later released on R500 bail each.

"Both were booked for drunken driving and will appear in the Randburg magistrate's court on Monday," he said.

Bornman said it was likely their cases would be postponed pending the finalisation and receipt of blood tests taken after the accident.

This is a typical example of how Chelsea have destroyed the football market. With money no object, what do they care?

No point getting amateurishly excited about ethical or moral issues
( the true capitalists don't ) ,
take your profits and look forward to identifying the next Holy Cow , on whichever horizon she may be...
then : repeat the proccess ...
( Some years ago , people had only nice stuff to say about Microsoft , too...but , some have learned since , as has the European Court ...)
