  Neville charged over goal salute
Posted by: TheDuck - 26-01-2006, 05:59 PM - Forum: The Football Season - No Replies

Manchester United defender Gary Neville has been charged by the Football Association with improper conduct.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football...650532.stm

whereas on a number of occasions footie players behave like absolute idiots, when are the authorities going to clamp down on spectators who behave in a despicable manner towards players.

all very well simply taking the players money but they too have a responsibility to the players

baah humbug .. stay off the ice

  Robbie Savage continues
Posted by: TheDuck - 26-01-2006, 09:03 AM - Forum: The Football Season - No Replies

Well, I for one am not a fan of Robbie Savage, however he was tackled from behind on 2 occasions by Allan Smith which has left marks at the back of his legs, surely with video evidence Smith should come under scrutiny in the same way Essien of Chelsea, did?

Or is ot one set of rules for the foreign players and another for the homegrown?

Then lets see if braided hairmon Rio will get into trouble for giving Robbie a clip while walking off the pitch

and to think .. I am not a fan of the Savage

So , it won't be an all-Belgian affair then , but , at least :
a Francophone one !
Is this the "new" Amelie M. , the very one who actually WON the last biggie of the 2005 , in the U.S.?
On sheer power and condition ( and form ) she should be the Favourite ;
but , then , still : tendency to double faults in crucial moments ,
and she did seem to fall apart somewhat , around 2 : 2 , in the 3rd...?

Both Belgian girls played well-below their own ( high ) standards , Kim especially had a bad day on the court , even before the foot injury
( on Kim's bad day , her forehand is still 10 times superior to Ljubo;s , agree ? ) , but , overwiegt or not , the injuries keep on keeping on happenning , in the stop-start power tennis , as is played nowadays...

  The most precious treasures.....
Posted by: Pronkertjie - 25-01-2006, 06:51 PM - Forum: Christian Faith Praise - No Replies

The most precious treasures are not always under the ground

Everything that glitters is not gold. Sometimes the most precious treasures are not buried deep under the ground but can be found near the surface instead. Look around you – your lifelong companion, your parents or your children are the Lord's special gifts to you. They are your most precious earthly possessions. No, the Lord does not want you to struggle through life alone. That is why He gave you loved ones. They are your helpers, your towers of strength, your biggest supporters, your gold. They are the ones who constantly pray, stand by and carry you.

What are you doing for your loved ones? Do you pray for them regularly too? Do you set an example in your commitment to the Lord? Do you set aside enough time for them? Or are you always tired when you have time to devote to them? Do you constantly have the excuse of work to finish or telephone calls to make? If so you have not really discovered God's special treasures. You are looking for gold in all the wrong places. Look at your loved ones once more. Thank God for them and live close to them always.

Peace

If I decided to renunce my sa citizenship instead of applying for a SA passport
as I only have my british, and need a SA to go on holiday, and seeing as though I am never going back to live I thought I might renunce. What I want to know is, on the actual form it says to give a certified copy of passport, now Im assuming this is SA passport, but what if you dont have one?
Or is it british pasport to prove that one...i dont understand?
or do you send an id book...

Eriksson will step down as England coach after the World Cup
The Football Association is set to begin a hunt for a new England boss to succeed Sven-Goran Eriksson, who will stand down after this year's World Cup.

Bolton manager Sam Allardyce is the early favourite for the post.

Also linked are Middlesbrough's Steve McClaren, Alan Curbishley of Charlton and former Celtic boss Martin O'Neill.

Ex-Bayern Munich boss Ottmar Hitzfeld and Australia coach Guus Hiddink are among the foreign candidates, along with Portugal boss Luiz Felipe Scolari.
