Do you have teenage children? Do you wait up for them to come home?
I can never sleep until I know they are home safe and sound.

My children aren't teenagers yet, but I am sure when my turn comes I will find it just as difficult to relax until I know they are safe and sound back at home. I hope that by now your daughter is back at home and you can sleep comfortably

Shame, Curio. I remember my mom waiting up for me too. If it got beyond a certain time she'd start to panic & there was no such thing as mobile phones when I was a teen. I guess my time will come too. :bigcry:

Curio,
My daughter is rarely late, at weekends my son is rarely back before midnight. I never rest easy till I know he is back. Its a normal parent thing.

Thanks Dudette, Venus, Pronkertjie & John01 for the replies. No doubt there will be many more late nights like these.

I find I can sleep fine when the lad is out, whether that will be so with my daughter may be another thing!
One summer night my missus woke me up at 2 that Nathan wasn't home yet. I replied, "yes he is" (I had heard him come in) and rolled over to go back to sleep. She had searched the house but couldn't find him. Turned out he was sleeping with his mates on the trampoline in the garden!! :haha: |
