The Rolling Stones' single "Angie" (#1 9/22/73 Billboard) was written about David Bowie's then-wife Angela. Angela is the mother of Bowie's only child, Zowie (poor kid), ant the authour of two books about her life with Bowie. Angie made headlines in 1993 with the release of her second book, Backstage Passes: Life on the Wild Side With David Bowie. In this book the ex-Mrs. Bowie claims that David is a member of an alien race known as "the Light People". Angie is convinced that David is one of the Light People because he shares so many of their characteristics, including great musical talent. Mr Bowie refuses to comment on the book.
