Curio Wrote:"The wind in the willows"?
Debbie Harry's debut was 1968's The Wind in the Willows. Debbie was not yet blonde, nor was she much of a singer. This album was a misguided attempt to cash in on the "summer of love" hippy movement that was generating big sales for bands like The Steve Miller Band. Unsold album returns actually exceeded the number of copies sold. It was discovered that even reviewers were returning their promotional discs, which meant that when all the numbers were added up, the record comapny received more rejected copies of the album than they had actually offered for sale. :yikes: It was released in 1978 as Wind in the Willows featuring Debbie Harry after the success of Blondie's Parallel Lines album.
Let's go 80s
In 1981 Virgin Records released a single featuring The Sex Pistols and British train robber Ronald Biggs. What was the single called?
(19922)
PS I can't wait for the next 80s question
