If you scroll up to the 5th post, you will see in my post the alternative, Australian Barracouta which (though not from the Cape) is the same species.

Some decent fishmongers do get it from time to time so all is not lost Wink

Any version of Cape Snoek at present is probably illegally brought in so best to avoid.
