ANSWER: DEER FRISK, SIR, FREED. Our local high school is fairly sports-minded. Half the students play soccer, 20% play basketball. There are 99 taking sports, 24 taking both. What is the total enrollment of the school?

If 70% - 24 (don't want to add them twice) = 99, then 70% = 123
123 is 70% of 175.7.... :dazed: I made up my own "Half the students play soccer, 20% play basketball. There are 65 taking sports, 5 taking both" If 70% - 5 = 65 then 70% = 70, 70 is 70% of 100, and there are 100 in my school....(50 play footy, 20 basketball) ...I think...
