Rolleyes

My brother and I were told as children, if we did not chew our meat properly, especially red meat , we would get nightmares.

I remember another one for warts, was if u rub a raw potato on warts and buried the potato afterwards the wart would disappear.

And the famous one for the boys playing with you know what, and going blind.

If that were true there would be an awful lot more of sightless people out thereBlush Rolleyes

I believe that there is an element of truth in this one. Vitamin K plays a role in vision & certain body fluids contain Vit K so during certain natural functions, Vit K is lost (trying to say this as delicately as possible. Big Grin). But an awful lot has to be lost in order to cause loss of vision! :p

Women are influenced by the moon. Our menstrual cycles & pregnancies are timed by lunar months.

My dad used to tell us that if you hold guinea pigs by the tail, their eyes pop out. It was only during adulthood that I realised that they don't have tails! Big Grin
