I am really confused now... On the site it shows that you can purchase it for £51 or so.

From what I understand, is that once you activate the oem version, it cannot be used with any other pc, which in this case would be fine, 'coz if she gets rid of the pc, she would give the disk along with the pc.

That's not OEM, it's Windows XP that can only be installed on one PC. There are hacked versions going around that you can install wherever you want but they have been know to cause problems and you can get no updates or support from Microsoft.

You can try ordering the OEM version. I would think that once you get to the checkout it will stop you completing the order, but then again maybe it won't...
