In 1904 Amadeo Gianni opened a bank in San Francisco and called it the Bank of Italy. His bank survived the San Francisco earthquake and the Great Depression, and by the 1930s he had several branches in California. Gianni, the pioneer of home mortgages and auto loans, changed the bank's name in 1928 to Bank of America. It is now the largest bank in the United States.

In 1981, Apple Corps and Apple Computer signed a secret pact agreeing on the use of the Apple name.

For those that don't know, Apple Corps is a record label (think Beatles) Smile

The exact details and dollar amount of the 1981 agreement are still unknown, but in essence it stated that Apple Computer Inc., could use the name for computer products, and Apple Corps Ltd., the Beatles record label and business company, would retain it for music-related enterprises. In 2003, Apple corps sued Apple Computer for infringement of the agreement because of its developement of the iTunes Music Store and the iPod digital music player.

All gasoline is shipped from the refinery in the same pipeline, no matter which oil company is buying it for resale.

All gasoline is pumped from the refineries into the interstate gasoline-pipeline system and stored in aboveground tanks. The famous additives that oil companies such as Exxon, Shell, and Chevron advertise as beneficial to cars are added when the tankers fill up for distribution to the individual stations.

A cup of tea has more caffeine than a cup of coffee.
