  remove task bar?
Posted by: Joan - 12-01-2004, 10:09 PM - Forum: Your Computers, Gadgets and Software - Replies (5)

My browser is Avant ( I can also use Internet explorer)... howerver, after updating both, I now have toolbars and taskbars all over the show and very little "screen space" left....
How do I remove the google taskbar or toolbar or whatever it is called, as well as the wasted grey bar at the bottom of the browser?
As you can read, my knowledge of computer jargon is very limited, I hope someone out there understands what I mean!

I have been a stay at home Mum for many years!!!!!

But tomorrow I am going back out into the work place:eek:

Hubby and I made the decision years ago that my job would be to stay at home and look after the children.....be here when they returned from school etc etc.

Well my youngest is now 11 and will be going to Senior School in September......so I made the decision last year that I would like to go out to work (seemed like a good idea at the timeRolleyes )

I enrolled in a course just to get me back up to speed with all the officy type things LOL and started applying for jobs just before Christmas......silly time to start looking I know

But as I said I am starting work tomorrow......only part-time (need to ease myself back in Wink ) ........so please guys THINK OF ME TOMORROW!!!!!!!

OK mense, ideas time....

I am escorting a group to Barcelona this week (Thu/Fri), I've got pretty much everything sewn up, city tour, limo transfers, hotels, restaurants, but what I don't know is anywhere me and my colleague from work plus the BA rep can slide off to to blow the froth of a couple of chilly one once all the clients are tucked up in bed.

Anyone able to recommend a good venue for a little later eveing refreshment?

Thanks
G

  The Last Samurai

Anyone managed to see this yet?

All I can say is WOW!

Spacegirl, I'd be very interested to see if the subtitles match the actual speech in the movie (I know you're still fluent in Japanese Wink ).

Basically the movie is set in the late 19th Century and revolves around the Samurai having to deal with an encroaching, modern and not altogether pleasant world.

I'd highly recommend the movie - the fight scenes are superb, the costumes magnificent and the overall feeling is one of awe.

Definitely one to get on DVD for the future as well

  Printer Advice Please
Posted by: Oom Rob - 11-01-2004, 02:48 PM - Forum: Your Computers, Gadgets and Software - Replies (5)

I have a Lexmark Z45 printer. Recently whenever I have wanted to print anything I have a sign flashing up "insert cartridge" indicaing that the colour cartridge is missing. Normally taking it out and putting it back in suffices. Last week I bought a new black cartridge and a new colour cartridge - I inserted both into the printer but now it just flashes "insert cartridges" no matter how many times I take them out and put them back in. So I put the old cartridges back in and it is still flashing up "insert cartridges" - can anyone help me or adnose me how I can sort this problem out or do I have serious problems with my printer?

  FAT - Saturated or not
Posted by: chel - 11-01-2004, 11:35 AM - Forum: Your Health, Fitness and Wellbeing - Replies (15)

Hi all,

I am starting to eat more healthy and am so confused with all this calories intake, fat intake etc.

Now how am I supposed to know how many calories a day I am supposed to have and how many fat (g) a day I am supposed to have?

And when I look at the ingredients on items it says Fat (g) and then underneath Fat (Saturated) grams? Now am I supposed to note down the Fat (g) or the saturated fat (g)? I did read somewhere that a female is to have 60g of Fat a day and a male 90g but my question to you is of Fat or saturated as there seems to be a big difference?

Any feedback would be great!!!!

Thanks

  Music collectors

I have just spent some time trying to find a download or music clip
of Fire by the Crazy World of Artheur Brown, only to discover that I have a cover by Carl Palmer and ELP as well as the original on an obscure compilation....with over 250 LP's and around 600 CD's it is almost impossible to remember what one has.
Has anyone resorted to cataloging their music collections and if so what software package are you using.
