A nice loaf around holiday...try Cyprus. Plenty of club action out at Aiya Napa...restful time wanted most other towns will do. Paphos is a firm favourite and Limassol not to bad. September sees the annual wine festival which is normally pretty good. However with EU membership pending it is going to start getting a little pricey.

Anyone involved in Catering/ Hospitality etc
Posted by: Cheffie - 02-01-2004, 03:15 PM - Forum: Member and SAffer owned businesses - Replies (35)

I'd be interested in meeting/ chatting with people who are involved in catering/ cooking on a career level and who'd like to share their views on the industry, get some networking going and generally "helpmekaar".
As the profile indicates, I'm Head Chef at a restaurant located in the South East of England.

I look forward to hearing your views, tips and general guidance and will reciprocate in kind.

I am hoping that I am not the only Zimbabwean here......

Born in Harare, lived in Bulawayo most of my life, lived in Joburg for 3 years while I studied and got onto the working ladder, back to Bulawayo and now in the UK with my family.

  Schooling links in South Africa
Posted by: Spacegirl - 02-01-2004, 11:40 AM - Forum: Parenting and Children - Replies (3)

Looking at the results I got from Ananzi.co.za when I search for links relating to schooling in SA I am not overly impressed by them..... does anyone have a URL that they can recommend. I am trying to find out what the current cirriculum is for children entering years 6 and 9. I would also be keen to hear from anyone in SA now about the level of homework, what subjects are compulsroy,ect.... things like History.... I know when I moved back to SA at 13 that subject really hit me as I knew NOTHING about SA history only American..... thanks in advance for any assistance offered.

I plan to move back to SA by October 2004 and recently heard that as I have been in the UK for 3 years by the time I leave I would maintain my benefits..... this sounds a bit fraudulent.... does anyone know if this is true? Sad
