BRUSSELS, Belgium --A Belgian court has ordered Internet search company Google Inc. to stop publishing content from Belgian newspapers without permission or payment of fees, a Belgian press association said Monday.
Technology RSS feed The Belgian Association of Newspaper Editors, which handles copyright matters for the French- and German-speaking press in the country, lodged the complaint over Google News, a search service in which headlines, excerpts of stories and small versions of photographs are reproduced to refer visitors to full articles on newspaper sites.

Ban leads to smokers ending habit |

The smoking ban has led to a rise in the number of Scots trying to kick the habit, the health minister has said.
Andy Kerr marked six month of the ban on Tuesday in Edinburgh by meeting a group of Scots who have quit since the ban was introduced.
He said: "I've been really encouraged by the extremely positive response we've had for the smoking ban."
Calls to the Smokeline service, which gives advice on how to quit smoking, have hugely increased, Mr Kerr added.
So much of our poor health in Scotland is linked to smoking and I think this legislation will have a real impact on that in the long term
Mr Kerr added: "People across the country are using the ban as an incentive to give up smoking.
"Others are simply enjoying the opportunity to go out and socialise without having to breathe in second-hand smoke.
"But it's in the years to come that I expect to see even bigger benefits.
"So much of our poor health in Scotland is linked to smoking and I think this legislation will have a real impact on that in the long term."
Limited social life
Among the guests at the event was Ellen Humphries, who lives in Glasgow with her 14-year-old son Richard, who is asthmatic.
Until six months ago, his condition meant the family were limited in their social life.
Ms Humphries said: "At big family occasions like weddings or birthday parties Richard could only go for a short while and then had to leave because of his asthma.
"Now we can go out and enjoy these things as much as anyone else."

Alles gaan oor onmiddellike behoeftebevrediging. Hoe sing daardie rock groep uit die vorige eeu nou weer: “I want it all and I want it now!Ââ€
So nie, loop ons die Here mis. Is jy tans ‘n kits-lewe slagoffer? Dan gaan jy beswaarlik saam met die Drie-enige God gestap kry! Hy is moontlik veels te stadig vir jou.

I received a warning about this today, you may consider sending it to everyone you know, especially as Christmas is fast approaching. It has been confirmed by Royal Mail.
The Trading Standards Office are making people aware of the following scam:-
A card is posted through your door from a company called PDS (Parcel Delivery Service) suggesting that they were unable to deliver a parcel and that you need to contact them on 0306 6611911 (a premium rate number).
DO NOT call this number, as this is a mail scam originating from Belize.
If you call the number and you start to hear a recorded message you will already have been billed £15 for the phone call.
If you do receive a card with these details then please contact Royal Mail Fraud on 02072396655 or ICSTIS (the premium rate service regulator) at http://www.icstis.org.uk or your local trading standards office. This is a genuine scam and is under investigation by ICSTISs

Beware folks, I have finally managed to pass my driving test. Can now throw bus ticket away and drive to work - don't ask me to park tho. So if any of you are up in Wales (the very welsh part) just look out for a white nissan with the saffer flag and welsh dragon. Am so chuffed and a little richer (no more parting wth £24 a week, filling uo car and paying for bus. Only have to pay for gas. H.A.P.P.Y :car: :jive:
