Déménagement of sommer net trek |

balkon ...
Déménagement – ja, so móét dit wees.

i don't know if i should put this here or not but i am over the moon about seeing a friend of mine i have been friends with since 1992. she moved over to auz since december 1995 or something and we just lost contact. i was sorry i did but it is one of those things. i decided to join the names database to see if i could find anyone i know. about 4 months after i joined i saw she joined. i paid 17 us dollars for a year and i managed to get into contact with her. i found out that she has cancer of the cervix but when i sent her an sms today she is fine. i was really worried though. she is waiting for her passport and is saving up so she can come to sa for a holiday. i am like so happy as it will be the 1st time i have seen her since she has left.
i just had to share this news...

I have subscribed to many Baby sites etc, as you do when you are a new mom.
I got this through yesterday and I am hoping that somebody can shed some light on this for me?
We are here on Ancestral, does it mean that my bubs qualifies? How do I get a voucher? I do not want to jeapordise our citizen applications later on by claiming if I am not allowed to. This is what the site said.....
"Every child born on or after 1st September 2002 is eligible for a Child Trust Fund account, if they live in the UK, Child Benefit has been awarded for them and they are not subject to immigration restrictions"

"I've learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow."
"I've learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way he/she handles these three things: a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights."
"I've learned that regardless of your relationship with your parents, you'll miss them when they're gone from your life."
"I've learned that making a 'living' is not the same thing as 'making a life'."
"I've learned that life sometimes gives you a second chance."
"I've learned that you shouldn't go through life with a catcher's mitt on both hands; you need to be able to throw some things back."
"I've learned that whenever I decide something with an open heart, I usually make the right decision."
"I've learned that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one."
"I've learned that every day you should reach out and touch someone.
People love a warm hug, or just a friendly pat on the back."
"I've learned that I still have a lot to learn."

Came across this while researching ILR info.
The site
UK Resident Forum
is simply the best I've come across as a resource for queries on residence/ancestry/ILR/nationalisation (i.e all the queries anxious Saffers raise as they move through the process) with expert advice. And no, I don't have any affiliation - simply a wealth of info, even if it takes a bit of hunting through the different forums.

Stretches...to do or not and when |

As both an ex-runner and a fairly frequent squash player, I have always been taught the value of stretching before participating. Now having got into martial arts again, I am beginning to ponder the place of stretches in exercise.
Believe me we stretch, but it is during or after a session, preference been given to warming up with light jogging and flexing rather that stretching.
So I have been doing some reading and have come across static and dynamic stretching. Static being the typical type of stretching that gets advocated prior to exercise vs dynamic which is putting the muscles through the expected range of movements that they will be expected to do.
I have found that by spending more time on warm up prior to running....starting with a slow walk, progressing into a brisk walk and then into the run, then using static stretches as part of my cool down routine, I am managing a better quality of run, with a faster recovery rate. Proper breathing into the stretches also helps control breathing.
For the martial arts dynamic stretching from cold is a plus, you do not have time to warm up when having to deal with a sudden attack, so full muscle range is required instantaneously......
Interesting topic and other opinions would be appreciated.....
