Posted by: Pronkertjie - 12-01-2006, 07:05 PM - Forum: Praat Afrikaans - No Replies

Beeld-deurloop

Cecille Cilliers
Kuier ek in die dae voor Kersfees by my vriendin Joanna in Cambridge. Ek is spesiaal soontoe vir haar 82ste verjaardag, dis so 'n ou vriendskap. :friend:

:haha:

Hier moet ek miskien eers iets uitwys.

Londen is 'n baie stimulerende stad.

Ek sal my eier met 'n mes eet, as ek lus is !

  Holiday Cash
Posted by: Ade - 12-01-2006, 02:03 PM - Forum: Travel and Immigration - No Replies

All this talk of holidays, made me wonder what monetary arrangements you make when going abroad (specifically SA)
Which of the following provides the best value for money ( Rolleyes )
1. Buy Rands over here
2. Take pounds and buy Rands over there
3. Buy travellers cheques
4. Use you credit card
5. Use your debit card
6. something else

Personally I never do 3. 'cos it's too expensive and if I'm daft enough to lose my cash it's my own stupid fault! so I use a mix of 1 and 4.
What about the rest of you?

As the paper reports :
93% of all polled Belgians and other residents were "happy" or "very happy" with their life in Belgium ;
while of all over-75's : fully 87% are "happy" or "very happy" with the medical services they receive.
Hard to beat , on any of the continents , methinks!

  Head-aches!
Posted by: Guest - 11-01-2006, 12:19 PM - Forum: Parenting and Children - No Replies

My son is now in his second yr of high school and an only child, i seem to be having a problem with him at the moment and wondering if any of the other Moms have this problem...

Every Monday for about 4 yrs now he is coming home with head-aches, now i have taken him to the doctor - nothing wrong there, taken him to the optometrist, his glasses and eyes are fine.....

Some ppl have mentioned perhaps maybe it is the noise in the school - kids making a racket which is contributing to this....but surely after so many years he would be okay now...and why a Monday? He is just as noisy as the kids - :crylol: :crylol:

Does you perhaps have a solution or wot can i do?
I don't like the idea of giving him pills or muti everytime...
