Beeld-deurloop:
Jacolette Kloppers
Daar sien ek etlike bakkies (ongeveer 500 g) maalvleis.
Op die naamplakker: rundergehakt. Die wat?
Kry darem toe 'n winkelassistent wat Engels verstaan.
"Is this beef?"
Verstarde uitdrukking.
"Beef? Ja ja, it is cow! It was cow!"
Wonderlik.

Just thought I'd quote a few lines from an official newsletter of the Metropolitan Municipality.
"Welcome to OR Tambo International airport, the gateway to Africa. This could soon be the welcome travellers get after the council passed a resolution to rename Johannesburg International airport.
The executive mayor states that changing names of places and facilities of historical importance is vital for the transformation of society in South Africa and that there is a need for renaming the airport.
President Thabo Mbeki supported the call to rename the airport at the launch of the OR Tambo Cultural Precinct in Tamboville. A delegation consisting of Cir Nkosi and two members of his mayoral committee will now put forward the request to the national government".
(ForumAdmin, wasn't sure whether to post this article here or in the "a little more serious" section).

I wanted to start up the "usual" threads on January 1 but sadly we don't have an internet connection at home yet so I am going to postpone their launch until that happens :bigcry: (I am not going to travel to work everyday to do the daily posts... much as I love work and the boards :haha: )
