Posted by: Pronkertjie - 07-05-2005, 06:19 PM - Forum: Praat Afrikaans - No Replies

Beeld-deurloop:

Cecile Cilliers

Nie in mý huis nie, lag ek.

Baie mooi. :hartlik:

  Wisdom from the Spirit
Posted by: Sue Johnson - 06-05-2005, 12:15 PM - Forum: Christian Faith Praise - No Replies

Wisdom from the Spirit

We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. No, we speak of God's secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. None of the ruler's of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. However, as it is written:

"No eye has seen,
no ear has heard,
no mind has conceived
what God has prepared for those
who love him"

but God has revealed it to us by His Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who among men knows the thoughts of a man's Spirit within him? In the same way, no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. We have not received the Spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us. This is what we speak, not in words taught to us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in Spiritual words. The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. The Spiritual man makes judgements about all things, but he himself is not subject to any man's judgement:

"For who has known the mind of the Lord?
that he may instruct Him?" But we have the mind of Christ.

1 Corinthians v2 6-16

  Time To Impress Me
Posted by: The Highlander - 06-05-2005, 06:57 AM - Forum: Travel and Immigration - Replies (15)

Hello all, long time no type.

I need to tap into all those mine fields of useful(less) information sitting atop your shoulders.

My wife has now served her sentence on the muddy island, contributed unselfishly to the economy, nurtured a future Scottish rugby captain, Liverpool FC striker, world renowned engineer and voted in the election!!! So here's the deal (instead of me wading through a Burocratic quagmire) how does she go about applying for her purple passbook to the world? (or at least Croatia which is our next stop). She does have her ILR at the moment.

All replies will be scrutinised and the reply that makes the most sense and creates an atmosphere and result of a well run Burocratic society will win a prize. Prizes to be announced when I feel like it. And please read the fine print.

Views expressed by this poster are not necessarily that of the powers that be, prizes will be at the discretion of the author of this post and because he has little or no discretion don't expect much!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks in advance

FB, did you enjoy Boucher and De Villiers picking up wickets?
Also, does anyone know what went on in the middle when Smith was batting?

  Shengen Visa from Spanish Embassy
Posted by: Sumy - 04-05-2005, 01:54 PM - Forum: Travel and Immigration - Replies (7)

Has anyone here applied for a Shengen visa via the Spanish embassy before?

I am going to Barcelona in two weeks time... and I gave my application to a company at my work to process, etc... but they are telling me that I may not get one because I left it too late - which is another story... and something I am really annoyed about!

But I would just like to know from someone who has done it on their own how long beforehand did they send it to the Embassy. Has anyone got one on short notice?

HELP! Please... anyone...

I renewed my subscription to Norton AV 2004. I did a Live Update and a system scan and all was clear. My laptop is still working fine, except when I go START, SHUTDOWN. Then my pc hangs... nothing happens. So what I am able to do is shut it down through the Task Manager.

This is so kokaaid! It is driving me insane! I just cannot find a solution on Google at all. There is loads written on APM, but I do not have this NT APM in my Device Manager so I cannot do any settings....

Is it possible that my pc could've gotten sick for the 24hrs that it was without AV? :help: :help: :dazed:

Hi Everyone
This is the first time I use this forum and I'm 60 years old and don't have much knowledge in computers and I hope somebody will help me and thank you in advance. I have an AMD 1.2 it came with Win 98SE and lately I installed Win XP home edition Upgrade everything working well except 2 things:
1) the screen saver which I set it for 15 minutes doesn't work .
2) each time I turn the computer on and while it is booting it pauses for few seconds and it gives me 2 choices : start WIN XP or to start Windows normally , so I chose the first one and hit the Enter key to start Win XP. I don't know what to do , please can you help me . Thank you

MONEY....

It can buy a House
But not a Home

It can buy a Bed
But not Sleep

It can buy a Clock
But not Time

It can buy a Book
But not Knowledge

It can buy a Position
But not Respect

It can buy Medicine
But not Health

It can buy Blood
But not Life

It can buy Sex
But not Love

The Bible teaches about the love of money.......be wise and ask for wisdom!
