  Cocker Spaniel breeders?
Posted by: libra - 25-02-2004, 08:10 PM - Forum: Fauna - Replies (1)

My father lost his little girl Cocker Spaniel in Zimbabwe this morning and has taken it very badly.

Does anybody know any details of Cocker Spaniel breeders in South Africa that I can forward onto my parents? They have expressed an interest in replacing her as soon as possible and my little boy who lives with them needs some company, he is a very lost young man at the moment.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

  Wiel!!!
Posted by: Icecub - 25-02-2004, 02:41 PM - Forum: Praat Afrikaans - No Replies

My naam is Wiel.

Sy kom by Wiel en toe sy hom vra, se hy sy naam is

-* "Wiel".

-* "Seuntjie, juffrou wil jou regte naampie hê, nie jou noemnaampie nie, hoor"

Weer sê hy,

-* " Dis Wiel, juffrou."

"Ag pleez daddy, won't you take me to the draaiv-in..."

For some or other unkown reason, I have this "song" in my head... ?!?!!

The problem is, I don't actually know the words to it, and I am probably going to go insane if I keep singing the first verse over and over again in my head.

Please help me to stop the insanity Big Grin Does anybody know the words to this song?

  Stock Market
Posted by: Toktokkie - 24-02-2004, 08:24 PM - Forum: Business and Finance - Replies (8)

I'm not a gambler by nature but I went out on a limb and played the stock market!!
I got a really hot tip from my son in law who is putting a lot of money into this stock tomorrow. A few of his associates are doing the same thing and that should drive the price up.

We stand to make some nice money in these stocks in a short period of time. I'm terrified and excited at the same time. Probably because I'm such a greenhorn and know nothing about playing the stock market. It feels too much like gambling to me.
Anyone here invest in the stock market?

Die hell - gedig van my

soos ek hier in die koue stap
my vasem , 'n wolk in die koue lug

waar ek my flerke kan oopmaak

maar hier gaan ek stadig verkluim
ge-trap in 'n wêreld wat ek haat
vasgevang in 'n depressie

  Lost Prophets

I have really started to smaak a new band that has been featured on Kerrang a lot lately - Lost Prophets. Their new single Last Train Home is currently getting a fair bit of airplay. I was amazed to see that they arent a yank band as I suspected but actually from just 10 miles down the road from a place called Pontyprid!

Take a listen to the single or watch the video! Excellent!
