  Music and Memories
Posted by: angelbabe - 20-02-2004, 11:51 AM - Forum: Your Music - Replies (4)

Music has this ability to just *carry you away* to a situation in your life. I can hear a song and immediately I am transported into the past to certain situations that I relate the song to.

Here is a challenge. List 10 songs that carry you back to situations in your life that the song reminds you of. I will think about mine, then post.

  Compressed Manure Pellets

I know the ideal stuff for renovating flower beds is the fresh stuff, straight from the, errr, supplier (or is that primary producer?), but are these pellets any good does anyone know?

Thanks

  When I'm an old lady......
Posted by: lols - 19-02-2004, 07:25 PM - Forum: Parenting and Children - Replies (2)

When I'm an old lady, I'll live with each kid,
>And bring so much happiness... just as they did.
>I want to pay back all the joy they've provided,
>Returning each deed. Oh, they'll be so excited!
>(When I'm an old lady and live with my kids)
>
>I'll write on the wall with reds, whites and blues,
>And bounce on the furniture wearing my shoes.
>I'll drink from the carton and then leave it out.
>I'll stuff all the toilets and oh, how they'll shout!
>(When I'm an old lady and live with my kids)
>
>When they're on the phone and just out of reach,
>I'll get into things like sugar and bleach,
>Oh, they'll snap their fingers and then shake their head,
>And when that is done I'll hide under the bed!
>(When I'm an old lady and live with my kids)
>
>When they cook dinner and call me to eat,
>I'll not eat my green beans or salad or meat.
>I'll gag on my okra, spill milk on the table,
>And when they get angry I'll run... if I'm able!
>(When I'm an old lady and live with my kids)
>
>I'll sit close to the TV, through the channels I'll click,
>I'll cross both my eyes just to see if they stick.
>I'll take off my socks and throw one away,
>And play in the mud 'til the end of the day!
>(When I'm an old lady and live with my kids)
>
>And later in bed, I'll lay back and sigh,
>I'll thank God in prayer and then close my eyes.
>My kids will look down with a smile slowly creeping,
>And say with a groan. "She's so sweet, when she's sleeping!"

Just wondering what your thoughts are on GM crops. It seems it is going to be grown in the UK after all.

Let's not make the thread political, but rather whether or not you would eat GM foods etc? Big Grin

  Deseprately Need Help
Posted by: Bean of Love - 18-02-2004, 08:01 PM - Forum: Your Computers, Gadgets and Software - Replies (8)

Hi all..

It's been a while since I've been on. I am busy with the organising of a Fashion Show event for about 3000 ppl and I have no time for myself!!!

So, getting to the real problem... My boss has asked me, since I know the most about PC's, to make a screensaver for her top managers. I agreed to this, and promply downloaded some freeware to test, once I decided I like the program, I bought it online.... I made a beautiful screensaver, but I have one problem, it doesn't want to install properly. So if I right click ont he icon, then click on install, it goes to my Control panel, but my curser goes missing. I cannot put out something like that!!!!! Especially considering that most of the managers are 50+ thus they are no experts on the PC....

Does anybody know where I can buy software to make a nice little screensaver which I can write to disk to give to ppl... something that will work, and look professional?? I am really desperate as I have to have 80 disks done by Friday!!!!

PLEASE... I would appreciaite any help or suggestions....

Spilt Beans:bigcry: Blush :wall:

Yes yes yes!

I've been waiting/looking for a particular tune on vinyl for nearly 2 YEARS!!! 2 YEARS!!!

Well, I got a phone call last night, saying that the track is available on a particular website... (chemical records)

Wham-Bam-Thank you very much Mam, a few clicks and a credit card payment later, the long awaited vinyl is now in the post and on it's merry way to it's new owner.... ME.

I'm in my element!!! Long live online shopping!!

The tune? Well most of you won't know it, but it's a Trance tune by Utah Saints called "Lost Vagueness"

Just some useless info for you....wanted to share my happiness...Big Grin

howdy people...

was wondering if you could help me out...

i've got a case of itchy feet again... Smile but london aint calling me this time... more like Australia... Big Grin

The plan so far (in my little mind)...

go to Australia, work and travel around there, pop over to NZ, check out whats happening there... and then start moving up... work and travel (hopefully mostly travel through) get to see all the countries on the east side... and then maybe move over to see London again (short short visit)... then of course back home again...

has anybody done this before? or know of anybody who i could maybe get some tips...

I've got a british passport, does this work in my favour in anyway?

really appreciate any help i could get..

ta

Jax
