  Any comic experts out there.
Posted by: Goldminer - 04-09-2005, 07:29 AM - Forum: Your Classifieds - No Replies

Morning all!
My father, being a horder, has thousands of comics dating back between the 60's and 70's in his attic. He's told me if I want them I can have them and I've been looking at selling them on ebay, I recently saw 31 Roy of the rover comics go for £16. Is that the best way to sell them or should I try and find a dealer to give me a price?

  SA Soccer Reunion
Posted by: ForumAdmin - 01-09-2005, 09:30 AM - Forum: The Football Season - No Replies

ex-pros Reunion for those who played in South Africa

There will be an ex-pros reunion to be held on Saturday, 22 October 2005 at the Broadfield Football Stadium, the home of Crawley Town FC. The clubÂ’s lovely new Stadium Suite has been booked for a period of five hours from 6.30pm to 11.30pm.

The cost of the evening is £30 per head and because a large number of former players and guests as well as their partners have been invited, make sure that you confirm your booking as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Please make your cheque payable to Peter Raath. Tickets will then be forwarded to you.

It will be a casual evening with a finger buffet, and we are going to make use of a professional catering company that will, IÂ’m sure, produce a high standard of friendly, efficient service. The same caterers will man the bar and they have assured me that the cost of drinks will be in line with normal pub prices.

There will be a few soccer videos which illustrate the history of South African soccer.

All former players and guests will be issued with an identity badge upon arrival.

They are expecting ex-pros who represented Cape Town City, Durban City, Durban United, Addington, Highlands Park, Rangers, Brothers, Hellenic, Bloemfontein City, Berea Park, Arcadia Shepherds, Jewish Guild, Maritzburg, Shamrocks, Port Elizabeth City, Southern Suburbs and Germiston Callies.

Tomorrow my little Danny starts pre-school. :bigcry: He'll be going for three mornings a week to start with. Today he's been a mixture of anxious & excited. We've not been apart much in his life so it's a very big step for both of us. :babyroll:

Great welcome back for "The Bokke".
Posted by: Curio - 29-08-2005, 07:25 PM - Forum: Rugby Newsfeed - No Replies

Saw on the news earlier tonight.
The "Bokke" arrived back at Jhb International airport to a big crowd. Everyone was cheering & it was a great welcome back for them. I'm sure they were very happy with all the support.
Confusedaffer:
I think they have done quite well lately.
