  Cardomon pods

I know this is a really stupid question, but here goes... what kind of curries do you use Cardommon pods for? And when you use it, do you crush the pods and get the little seeds out or do you just put the whole pod in like it is?

  Afrikaans books
Posted by: Surita - 02-06-2004, 11:57 AM - Forum: The Book Club - Replies (3)

I was in South Africa and I bought two Afrikaans books while I was there. Paid an arm and a leg for it but that is another issue.

The one books was a George Weideman boek called Draaijakkals and the other book is called Eilande.

I've really struggled to read both of these books and now I'm wondering if it is the type of books or can it be the language? Is my brain so used to reading in English now that it is struggling to read in Afrikaans?

When I read in English I zip through a book in about two days - these books was bought in April and I'm still trying to finish the one.

What is your thoughts on this?

Could I ask one of our resident Wiccans to please post up a summary of the beliefs and practices of this world faith? I realise that this faith is very diverse in its individual streams, but if it is possible to provide a general summary of belief, I would be grateful.

I still have seed for this plant and was wondering if it is too late to be starting it off now. Can anyone advise?

Also, does anyone know the difference between normal rocket (be that the cultivated or wild forms) and Turkish rocket?

  Faith

Faith.....What is faith?

2 Corinthians V7
We live by faith, not by sight

How very, very hard it is when we are in situations where there seem's to be no way out, to walk in faith. How hard it is to see what is not seen? And yet, by faith, we have the ability to do just that. But not in our own strength, through His. And that is so very difficult for us to understand, that when we ' walk on water ' with our eye's fixed on Him, it is by faith and not by our own might.

Without faith, we have no ability to witness the supernatural world that He has prepared for us in advance. We wait for something tangeable to appear, and yet God cannot move, untill we step out in faith and put our foot onto the water, then and only then, can He take over....it is by Faith and not by sight!!

May today, you take off your shoes and dip your toes Big Grin
