  Multivitamins and children
Posted by: dudette - 12-05-2004, 06:46 AM - Forum: Parenting and Children - Replies (2)

With our childrens diets being the way they are, and food production the way it is, it seems the only alternative these days is to supplement our children's diets with multivitamins. I've also started giving my children fish oil tablets as well, and it occurred to me - are we turning our kids into the next pill-popping generation through our well-meaning actions?
What do you think?

  His 'n Hers
Posted by: Pampered - 12-05-2004, 06:13 AM - Forum: The Book Club - Replies (2)

Well, as I said in the other thread, I finished this book a few days ago. I liked it (as I did his other book), but it was not one of those "must read" books.

He has a great ability to be able to write from a woman and a man's perspective, and he is talented writer. His book is amusing, and easy to read.

One thing that was weird was how he spent so much tme writing about their "relationship" before it even started, and yet spent hardly any time on them towards the end of the relationship. It came to a very abrubt ending, and then it all seemed very anti-climactic at the end.

Nonetheless, I did enjoy it. Hope you do too!Wink

choose your username?

We have some interesting usernames.... please tell us about yours. Smile

I chose mine at the spur of the moment, but also because sweetpeas are one of my favourite flowers - especially the fragrant ones.

I came home tonight and Ross says to me “Dad you know James is an absolutely fantastic artist – he can draw anything in fact he is the bestest artist out of everyone”, he stops thinks for a bit then says “even better than G-d” “wow” says I

He waits a bit longer, looks up rolls his eyes then says “ Mind you Dad I don’t think G-d does art”

Got to love them, got to have them, got to share them

  Picture Messaging (MMS)
Posted by: edmonsta - 10-05-2004, 02:52 PM - Forum: Your Computers, Gadgets and Software - Replies (11)

At the risk of sounding like an eedjit.

I have just received a picture message, but I can't view it as I have not yet enabled my MMS service.

:dazed:

I don't know how to enable MMS, and I can't find a number to call for sony ericsson or vodafone. Google isn't helping much.

I have a Sony Ericsson T230 and I'm on Vodafone.

Any ideas?

  Clearing address bar.

Running XP. When typing aa address into the explorer address bar, there are a lot of unwanted addresses that do not delete when the history is cleared.
How does one get rid of them???

Not to worry, finally found the right place to do it.....

  Sommer opstandig
Posted by: Surita - 10-05-2004, 12:04 PM - Forum: Praat Afrikaans - Replies (7)

Hierdie afgelope vakansie in Suid Afrika het ek by my pa in die ouetehuis gaan kuier.

  Go SA Music!!
Posted by: napalmtwilight - 10-05-2004, 11:55 AM - Forum: Your Music - No Replies

Hi guys,

Just a quick question. Have you noticed how good South African bands are doing lately? Do yourself a favour and listen to Prime Circle's music sometime (those who aren't familiar with this band).

Then a piece of useless info.
Who is the adorable Amy Lee's (Evanescence) new boyfriend?
Yes, indeed it's Shaun (Morgan) Welgemoed from SA! As some of you might know, he's the leadsinger of Seether (formerly known as Saron Gas). Check out the new single (Broken) they did together.
