Sand and Stone

During some point of the journey they had an argument, and one friend slapped the other one in the face.

The one who got slapped was hurt, but without saying anything, wrote in the sand:

TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE.

They kept on walking until they found an oasis, where they decided to take a bath. The one who had been slapped got stuck in the mire and started drowning, but the friend saved him.

After he recovered from the near drowning, he wrote on a stone:

TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SAVED MY LIFE.

The friend who had slapped and saved his best friend asked him, "After I hurt you, you wrote in the sand and now, you write on a stone, why?" The other friend replied "Whens omeone hurts us we should write it down in sand where winds of forgiveness can erase it away. But, when someone does something good for us, we must engrave it in stone where no wind can ever erase it."

LEARN TO WRITE YOUR HURTS IN THE SAND AND TO CARVE YOUR BENEFITS IN STONE.

They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but then an entire life to forget them.

Do not value the THINGS you have in your life. But value WHO you have in your life!

I have an ongoing problem with my son....for the past yr he has come home every Monday with a headache....

firstly i thought it was the chlorine in the pool as they did swimming every Monday...not that!!

secondly he wears spectacles for reading etc..i took him to the optician .. he is fine with that!!

it seemed to go away ..but now since high school it has come back...at present he is lying on the couch, i gave him calpol caplets, and he is sleeping the headache off....

what else do you think it might be - perhaps i am overlooking something??

Sorry if this has been asked hundreds of times before but I have had a look in old threads. Just got cable Broadband with set top modem and bought a 4 way DSL/Cable router to share the internet connection. Works a dream for the Broadband but I am not able to share files now. The 2 computers are running Windows XP home and Windows me. Ran the set up wizard on both and they both seem to go through the motions and the xp machine recognises there is another computer on the network(and gets its name right) but the me machine has no access to the network. When I run a diagnostic it says that I may have 2 computers with the same name. I then renamed them but with no success.:mad:
Any advice gratefully received!

Ek is gelukkig getroud en dis nie maklik nie. Ek wil nie weet hoe dit moet voel om ongelukkig getroud te wees nie, sê 'n vrou nou die dag. Nog iemand vertel dat hy by sy prokureur gaan kla het dat hy wil skei want sy vrou praat al vir 'n jaar lank nie met hom nie. Dink mooi wat jy doen. Sulke vroue is skaars, antwoord die regsgeleerde vinnig. Nogal tragies dat die volgende ook waar is van sommige huwelike: Gedurende die eerste huweliksjaar praat die man en die vrou luister. Gedurende die tweede jaar praat vroulief en die man luister, maar in die derde jaar praat albei en die bure luister!

Leef in die paradys, nou al!

Hoe jammer dat meer as 50% van alle huwelike vandag in die egskeidsingshof beland. Dit terwyl God bedoel het dat die huwelik 'n stukkie aardse paradys moet wees, 'n veilige hawe vir al sy kinders. Die Bybel vertel uiteraard 'n heeltemal ander storie oor die huwelik as wat miljoene stukkende huwelike regoor die aardbol vandag uitbasuin. Dit sê die huwelik is die intiemste verhouding waarin mense hier op aarde met mekaar kan staan. As jy op soek is na God se soort geluk vir die huwelik, dan moet jy asseblief nou n paar treë kom saamstap.

Weet jy, die huwelik se storie gaan terug tot in die paradys, daar waar die eerste man aanvanklik vinger-alleen gebly het. Volgens Genesis 2:18 het God toe besluit dis nie goed dat die eerste mens so verskriklik alleen is nie. Immers, volgens die Hebreeuse woord is die man net van n hopie bo-grond (adama) gemaak, nie van daardie vrugbare ondergrond nie. Was dit nie vir God se asem wat lewe in die man ingeblaas het nie, was hy regtig net n bietjie stof! Daarom dat die eerste man iemand anders dringend nodig gehad het om hom mens te maak. Gelukkig het God ingegryp deur 'n helper vir hom te maak, iemand om hom by te staan, sy gelyke. Na die eerste suksesvolle operasie in die geskiedenis was die vrou toe op die toneel. Die man se mond het omtrent van verwondering oopgehang toe hy haar sien. Uiteindelik het hy 'n sakpas helper, 'n perfekte lewensmaat, gehad. Nou was hy nie meer net 'n man nie, maar 'n mansmens! G'n wonder nie dat die eerste huwelik ook daar in die paradys plaasgevind het - met God as die volmaakte Huweliksbevestiger.

Onthou asseblief daardie kleef en leef-beginsel!

Reeds in Genesis 2:24 het God die basiese boustene van die huwelik uitgespel. Hy het toe al bepaal dat 'n man sy eie familie sal verlaat om lewenslank saam met sy vrou te leef. Letterlik staan daar dat 'n man sy vrou moet aankleef! Het jy gehoor? God voorsien die nodige hemelse gom vir enige suksesvolle huwelik: kleef en leef-gom! Klou aan jou huweliksmaat vas met alles in jou. Kies elke dag van voor af vir hom of vir haar. Laat hy of sy die enigste ander persoon in jou lewe wees. Laat julle huwelik elke dag 'n veilige eiland wees wat net deur julle twee bewoon word. Sorg dat hemelse liefdesgom julle lewenslank aan mekaar vasplak. Gaan haal dit asseblief elke oggend in die geloof by die Here. Moenie een dag oorslaan nie. God het bedoel dat julle heeltyd in Paradys-straat moet bly.

G'n tronkmure nie!

Die huwelik is nie lewenslange tronkstraf nie, al dink baie mense dat hulle tot hardepad gevonnis is. Jy is nie onder permanente huisarres in jou huwelik nie. Die huwelik is juis God se aardse kasteel waarin jy veilig en beskut is! God bou nooit tronkmure om jou huwelik nie, maar veilige mure van vertroue, respek en deernis. Wanneer jou huwelik dus op Hom as ewige Rots gebou is en wanneer Hy die ereplek in hier inneem, is daar warmte en harmonie tussen julle. Dan beleef jy jou eie stukkie paradys sommer al hier duskant die graf. Jou huweliksmaat is immers 'n lewende geskenk van God aan jou om jou lewe ryk en vol te maak. En jy ook aan hom of haar!

Geloof, liefde en diens - die sement vir 'n fantastiese huwelik

Ongetwyfeld is geloof in die drie-enige God die fondament vir enige geseënde huwelik. Manne en vroue wat saam voor God buig en hulle verhouding bou op sy riglyne, is op die enigste regte koers. Gods se padaanduidings vir n gelukkige huwelik is glashelder - sy kinders se huwelike is eksklusief, lewenslank en propvol liefde. Die sement wat hulle bymekaar hou, is die liefde; Christus se soort. Hierdie liefde offer op, beskerm en gee om. Die Here se soort liefde maak dat gelowige mans hul vrouens onvoorwaardelik liefhet soos wat die Here sy kerk liefhet (Efesiërs 5:21-32). Hulle is selfs bereid om hul lewens vir hul vroue af te lê. En gelowige vroue? Wel, hulle is bereid om hul mans ten dienste te wees, net soos wat die kerk die Here dien. Liefde maak dat Christenmans en vroue mekaar op die hande dra. Dit verander hulle huwelik dag vir dag in die lekkerste lekker, in 'n aardse oase te midde van al die dorre huwelikswoestyne rondom hulle. Natuurlik vra enige gelukkige huwelik harde werk, maar dis nooit 'n straf nie, veral nie as die fondament reg gelê is en die regte hemelse boumateriaal elke dag gebruik word nie.

Gebed

Heer dankie vir my huweliksmaat -
'n spesiale geskenk uit die hemel aan my!
Seën asseblief ons huwelik.
Oorlaai ons met liefde en deernis vir mekaar.
Laat ons mekaar van vroeg tot laat op die hande dra.
Maak ons tot 'n seën vir mekaar en vir die wêreld.

I'm at my wits end with this and am not sure how to progress any further. In desperation I've posted here hoping that somebody has an answer. I would appreciate any help with this.

Two days ago, I suddenly couldn't access my Hotmail account Inbox using webmail.

- I sign in entering user id and password, for a long time I sit with a white page, and then I get a "Cannot Find Server" page that comes up with "The page cannot be displayed" DNS Error.
- I run MSN Messenger as well. I can log into this.
- I can access my hotmail account and all folders through Outlook Express to receive and send mail
- I have this problem on three different computers
- I can access two other hotmail accounts on the web, but not this one. Incidentally, this hotmail account was the only one out of the three I have that was upgraded to 250MB. The other two still only have 2MB storage.
- I currently use IE Browser 6, with Cipher 128 bit, and SP2. Although, I have tried to open the hotmail account with Netscape and Mozilla.
- OS is Windows XP Professional
- I have run all the necessary spyware (S&D, Spyware Blaster, Ad-aware) and am clear.
- I have Norton Anti-virus, updated and scanned
- I have a Firewall
- I am connected through a broadband connection
- The most recent change that I have made to my computer is setting up a scanner and installing the software (however, the hotmail account worked fine with this change).
- I don't really want to go the route of having to uninstall and reinstall the current OS I have. Please don't offer suggestions that I need to switch to another operating system (Linux and the like). This is not a viable option at the moment.

I have a current log from HijackThis which I can post if it'll help any.
