2) "....welke Volmagte hede aan my getoon is en in my Protokol berus."
3) " Komparant"

Byvoorbaat baie dankie!

jerre - my taal is nie wat dit was nie
volmag is power of attorney
protokol van notoris - it is a commissioner of oaths here or a notary public (depends which context) - they have to swear a statement of truth
serwituut - a servitude over land eg access paths over land for public or to have access to water, sewers
Komparant - mmmm what context is that in?

Thanx for your assistance Am & Jewels

Jewels 'Komparant' I think is derived from French meaning a group of people or sitting?

"...and the Comparant declared that hereafter..." is the sentence, context is an Act of Usufruct.

Heck, I am impressed with the brain waves available on this site!

thats a very confusing word that....Comparant..

But maybe, and this is just 'n idee...

I was looking in another dictionary and found the following:

Com´pa`rate
n. 1. (Logic) One of two things compared together.

So I sommer redeneer that the comparant is the person who is comparating..?

A servitude is the right of something or somebody on your property. example there may be an electricity point on the property that the muncipality needs to access at all times. A servitude gives them the right to do this at all times.

By the way you have written it in Afrikaans it sounds like after investigation, and discussion comparable evidence has decided the point. In South Africa whilst dealing with a valuation of a property you would look at the surrounding area, take a few of the same properties and do a comparable value assesment to determine the approximate value of the property.
