  Your country of birth
Posted by: Curio - 10-08-2004, 09:22 PM - Forum: A little more personal - Replies (28)

Hope I'm posting this in the right section.

I suppose most of you here at GB were born in S.A but were any of you born elsewhere & then emigrated to S.A?

I was born in the U.K but came over to S.A with my family as a very young child & have been here ever since.
Even though I wasn't born here, I am a true S.African in every way. Smile Smile Smile

  Smacking children

is smacking really a criminal offence in certain countries... what if one admitted to doing it openly on the internet?

Joan, I know of someone who smacked their child in the UK. The child phoned 911 and the cops went to the house. The cops did realise that the kid had over reacted, BUT cautioned the parents that the address was logged and any further calls from child then action would be taken.

I found this news article on the subject.

  Win2000 XPpro dual boot??
Posted by: jimswin - 09-08-2004, 06:41 PM - Forum: Your Computers, Gadgets and Software - Replies (16)

I have an old laptop inherited from work with original Win 2000 operating system. Have since loaded XP pro, but installation automatically allowed a dual boot system.

I want to delete the original win2000 and recover the disc space....

Is this possible without completely reformatting?

Or would it be better to start from scratch.

some earlier experiences with Uncle Bills systems tells me that I would be better off biting the bullet.....

Comments welcomed thanx

  Vreeslike vergelykings

Hy's so bankrot...

Hy's so bles
Hy moet sy skilfers in sy sak dra.

Hy's so bles
Jy kan sy gedagtes lees.

Hy is so ingedagte
as hy by 'n spieel verbyloop, vra hy om verskoning dat hy in die pad is.

Hy's so kort

Hy's so kort

Hy's so lank
as hulle hom in 'n rugbywedstry duik, val hy eers oor tien minute!

Hy's so lelik

Hy's so lelik
syh ma roep hom met toe oe!

Sy's so lelik

Hy's so lui
sy skaduwee loop vir hom weg! Smile
